Earn Free CVS Gift Cards ~ Swagbucks 101 Part Five

This lesson in our series shows how Swagbucks even rewards members for activities they pay to do online and for buying gift cards to stores they shop at regularly.  They offer dozens of ways to earn free CVS gift cards for our out of pocket expenses at CVS or dozens of different major retailers' gift cards including:  Walmart, Ebay, Kmart, Amazon and Target but my favorite.

As you can see from the chart above there are dozens of ways to earn at Swagbucks.  I will be sharing them all in detail now and in future posts for those of you interested in finding a simple way to earn free gift cards to help with out of pocket costs at CVS.

For doing online activities you earn points called SB.  One SB equals 1 cent.  Swagbucks has CVS gift cards as low as $5.00 (500 SBs).  They do offer $25.00 gift cards that can be purchased for just 2200 SB’s – if you save up for these, one SB will equal more than a penny.

Category #5 Costs Involved
  • Buy Gift Cards
    • You can earn points for buying gift cards to stores you already shop at.  We recently purchased one to Lowe's when they had a bonus special.  It arrived in our email within 24 hours (it was a E-gift card that could be used online or in-store).
    • Earnings:  Varies per store from 1% to 8% of the value back in points.
    • They often have specials such as 100 points bonus for a $50 gift card to certain stores.  They advertise it on the Swagbucks' homepage, and you can also sign up to receive emails from MyGiftCard Plus.
    • Find "shop" link in left side bar on Swagbucks homepage; then scroll down and click "gift card" link in left side bar and then choose the "MyGiftCards Plus" link.
  • Do Pay Offers
    • There are dozens, if not hundreds, of offers to earn points on that require either a purchase or a credit card for a trial offer.  We have never done any of these, but many of them are for things you may already want to purchase.
    • Earnings:  Varies per deal but many are in the hundreds and thousands of points.
    • Find on homepage and also thru "discover" link in left side bar on Swagbucks homepage--then click thru links in sidebar on that page.
  • Pay to Play Games
    • There are also dozens of games with a cost you can play to earn points.  I am not familiar with any of them as I don't pay to play games, but if you do you may want to check them out and earn as you play.
    • Earnings:  Looks like most of them are 12 points per $1 spent.
    • Find "Play" link in left side bar on Swagbucks homepage.

If you haven’t signed up for Swagbucks yet and you sign up thru the links in this post Sarah will earn when you earn.  These are her referral links and anyone who signs up under her account she will earn 10% of what they earn (on most activities).  I will share more ways to earn free gift cards thru Swagbucks in later posts.  By beginning with these daily free & quick ways you can become familiar with the Swagbucks’ website and see how easy it is for the SB’s to add up.
