CVS Deal Shopping Trip for 4/5/15 Ad ~ Saved $48

It looks like my $10 off $40 CVS email coupons may have stopped; we'll see what this week brings.  I did receive a 30% off coupon, tho, so I looked for deals with extra bucks on items that were not on sale.  I figured a little off, tho, as I keep forgetting the 30% off is AFTER any $ off $$ coupons -- which includes the $5/$15 cosmetic scanner coupon I used, so I had a little out of pocket cash that I could have avoided with better planning.

This is a good example of printing off coupons when they are available.  I printed this $1/2 Canada Dry a couple of weeks back and held onto it for a good deal.  My grandmother drinks it daily so we always stock up when we can. I also had received a $3 off Revlon CVS coupon in the mail -- perfect for beginning my stock of cosmetics for my sister's Christmas stocking.

I did two transactions because of the restrictions on the Zantac coupon -- only one per transaction is allowed.  Even though I had to pay a little cash, I received it back in extra bucks -- I paid $1.72 + $12 in extra bucks and received $14.00 back.

Cash Paid:  $ 1.72

Amount Saved:  $ 48.38  or  96%

Extra Bucks Used:  $ 12.00

Extra Bucks Received:  $ 21.50 ($14.00 from today's extra buck deals)
  • $ 5.00 Beauty Club from earlier weeks shopping trips.
  • $ 2.50 Quarterly Extra Bucks
  • $ 4.00 Revlon
  • $ 2.00 Zantac
  • $ 6.00 Colgate
  • $ 2.00 Zantac

The Revlon counts towards CVS Beauty Club (spend $50 get $5 ECB).  I received a $5.00 Beauty Club extra buck reward today for previous purchases.

The Mentos will be packed in some Operation Christmas Child shoe box gifts next Christmas.  We shop all year long to help us be able to pack dozens of boxes for kids in need.
