CVS Deal Shopping Trip for 1/4/15 Ad ~ Saved $29 or 98%

I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get good deals this week or not, but I ended up doing two transactions.  I wanted to get the Bic razor deal (I had a $2  printable coupon we printed when it came out, but is no longer available), but wasn't sure it was good enough, but I had a scanner Q for $3/$10 razors/etc, and was able to find $3.39 razors, so decided to go for it, especially when I realized the second razors were CVS and might count towards the spend $15 get $5 deal.

So, I checked the razors out first & it counted toward it.  Figured how much more I had to spend on CVS items, picked up some allergy meds we needed and had a Q for, then got up to the amount with a toothbrush.  As I had a $10 ECB I wanted to use, I got the toothbrush deal, then had a few more cents I didn't want to waste, so took advantage of the 75% off Christmas clearance!

Cash Paid:  $ 0.68

Amount Saved:  $ 29.04 or 98%

Extra Bucks Used:  $ 15

Extra Bucks Received: $7
  • $5  (Spend $15 on select CVS brands get $5 ECB)
  • $2 (Select Bic products)
Here are my two transactions:

The toothbrush and train will be packed into some Operation Christmas Child shoe box gifts next Christmas. I especially liked the train as our family has history in that industry. We shop all year long to help us be able to pack dozens of boxes for kids in need.  You can see my mom's CVS clearance shopping trip for OCC on her blog Simply Shoe Boxes.
