My $5 CVSing for Charity Trip Shopping list for Week of 5/4/2014

Here's my $5 CVSing for Charity Challenge Shopping List for the CVS weekly ad of May 4, 2014.  I am trying to emphasize food as much as possible as there is a currently a great need in our county.  I was happy to receive printable coupons in an email from Kellogg's Family Rewards that match perfectly with the CVS sales on crackers this week.
CVS has Cheez-It, Keebler, Nabisco Cookies or Crackers 3.8-7oz B1G1 Free and Cheez-It 6.75oz 2/$4.  My printable coupon is $1/2  4 oz. or larger--and shows the small Cheez-Its are 4.5 oz and $2.19.  Our store is usually a little higher on most products, so I hope to get 2 of the 4.5 oz and two of the 6.75 oz. for a total of about $6.19 less the two $1/2 and a $1/$5 worth of crackers CVS scanner coupon or $3.19 for four boxes.  I'm not sure what to throw in for the last $1.80 or so--I think I'll see if there is any clearance, if not I'll probably get some tuna.

Sarah also had the idea that the small size boxes would be great to send in care boxes for our military personnel.

Buy:  2 -- Cheez It 4 oz. @ B1G1 about $2.19
         2 -- Cheez It 6.75 oz @ 2/$4
2 -- $1/2 Cheez It printable coupons from Kellogg's Family Rewards
1 -- $1 off $5 purchase of crackers CVS scanner coupon
Cost:  $ 3.19

My $5 CVSing for Charity Challenge is much like my $50 CVS Gift Card Challenge, but with a bit of different twist.  I will be budgeting $5 each week total for shopping at CVS for items to donate to local or global charities.  I will be emphasizing food as much as possible, as I often get free health & beauty items already.

About my Charity Chest:  One of my favorite things about deal shopping is having more to share with others.  Not only can I get great things with coupons and CVS extra bucks, but by saving on my own budget I have more cash to share, too.  So whenever I can get a fantastic deal on an item that my family does not need I pick it up and tuck it away in my Charity Chest until I find someone who needs it.   Another way I have more to give is by earning free CVS gift cards thru Swagbucks.  I have been able to give thru local charities and my own church as well as thru national ministries like Operation Christmas Child.
