No coupon Scenario for CVS Black Friday Ads of 11/18 + 11/22: $100+ of Products for Less Than $20

Below are deal scenarios for the CVS ad for the week of 11/18 for shoppers just starting their CVS shopping adventure or who do not have any or many extra bucks on hand and do not want to spend much cash, but don't have access to, or time to find coupons.  You can still spend just $17.96, get $88.23 dollars worth of items, and have $16.99 ECBs left.  If you take those and do the other Transaction for 11/22-11/24, you'll have $105.25 worth of items for $17.99 and have $17.02 left in ECBs--would be great to combine with the 25% off coupon that will be in the 11/22 ad.  Note, also that you can stop after any transaction if the items in the later transaction are not of interest to you.

This is a great way to go shopping with a non-couponing friend.  They can do these transactions and then can save the extra bucks left from the last transaction for next week’s extra buck deals to have even less out of pocket then, or you could use them towards some of the CVS deals the first half of this week or other sale items, or for the Black Friday deals.

PLEASE NOTE:  We offer these scenario posts to give shoppers ideas of how "rolling extra bucks" from one transaction to the next can save you additional out of pocket cash expense.  There are several transactions for this scenario.  This is the only way to keep the out of pocket cash low.  We are not advocating standing at the check out doing several
transactions at once.  We personally do one and then go to the end of the line.  The stores will probably be pretty busy with these deals.  This ad is good for four days, so doing a couple each day or going to different CVS stores is another option to avoid the multi-transaction problem.

How do these transactions work if you did have some coupons for some of the items? would I then have to make up the difference in other items to get the ECBs? This is will be my first time attempting this..lol I've never had the courage to go through with it. But I want to give it a go! Any advice greatly appreciated!

Does anyone know if sales tax is calculated before or after coupons and/or extra care bucks? Thanx!

Way to go, Amie!

Whitney, basically in the first transaction you would just have less out of pocket and in the others you would have to add up the amount of your coupons and grab one or two other ECB deals from the next transaction for that amount. Or you could buy other items on sale or non-free after ECB deals. Click on the banner at the top of this post that says "Click Here for CVS Black Friday Deal Posts" and you will find posts listed for scenarios with coupons that may be helpful.

I hope you have a great shopping trip!

I think it varies by state, for some sales tax is on coupons, but not on ECBs, for other it's on all. Pretty much you have to go a few times, than calculate to see what it is-right now, where you are. It's subject to change, and of course if you're visiting family over the holidays in a different state, that, too may be different.
