I am still learning!

I haven't gone yet, but this is my plan:

    Trans 1:
U by Kotex $4.27 (tax included)
    Use $1 coupon
Use $3 ECB (earned from card deal)
    Earn $2.99 ECB
    OOP: 28c

    Trans 2:
    Mitchum Deod $2.13 (tax included)
    Use $1 coupon
    Use $1 scanner coupon
    OOP: 14c

    Trans 3:
    Snickers Bar $0.80 (tax included)
    Earn 1 ECB (Snickers)
Earn 1 ECB (use of GBT)
    OOP: 80c

    Trans 4:
B1G1 Sobe Lifewater approx. $3.83 (tax included)
Removal of approx. $1.79 for the deal
Use $1.75 ECB from previous purchase
    OOP: 29c

    Savings: $9.54
    OOP: $1.51 -- or use a $10GC
ECB Balance: $11.98 (Kotex and the Blinks sales)

I will probably use coins to pay the $1.51 instead of my new GC. All of the CVS employees know my face, so they always expect coupons, ECBs, and GCs used for all purchases. I think I will save the GC and give them a break.

    Welcome back!

In my ad was a 99cents coupon for a 12 pack Coke if you spent $20, so:

    1st transaction:
    2 Huggies pullups 2/$20
    -$2 cvs q from mail
    -(2) $1 pullup q
    1 Huggies wipes refill $6
    12 pack Coke (99cents with q)
Total: $23+ and got $10 ecb

    2nd transaction:
    2 Lady Speed Stick
(had raincheck when they were 2.99 get $1.50 ecb)
-BOGO coupon from this week's paper
    3 Bumblebee tuna 77cents ea.
    -$1/2 recyclebank q
    Children's Allegra 9.99
    -$5 q from this week's paper
    Mini M&M's 75 cents
Total: right around $10, used $10 ecb from 1st transaction.
    ECB received:
    75 cents ecb from M&Ms
$2 ecb from Lady Speed Stick rain check (they rounded up?)
    4.99 ecb from Childrens Allegra

Not bad! Great job to Valencia too! Very smart way to use an expiring ecb, to get more ecbs!! :)

Looks like a great plan, Katie. don't you love what a few coins can do at CVS?

"Not bad" at all, Lisa! Love the large variety of items--and the grocery items. I always count it a good week when I save on my grocery budget.

I went to CVS just to get baby wipes. I ended up getting wipes, pull-ups(package had $1.50 sticky), 4 picture frames (from $13.99-$6 marked down to $3.49-$1.49), crayola sidewalk chalk($7.29 marked down to $1.82)1 padded envelope ($1.87 marked down to $.62) 3 arts and crafts kits ($2.99 marked down to $.74) Glade Sense and Spray refill $4.19($1 CVS coupon and $1 manu. coupon) and a bottle of bubbles $1.99. I used 1 25% JUST FOR YOU coupon (that I put on my card that I forgot about) 1 30% JUST FOR YOU coupon (that I just got today) and 20.49 in ECB's. My total OOP was $17.49 and I got 10ECB's from the Huggies deal. Not a bad day considering I only went in for one thing, lol.

That can easily happen at CVS! They always seem to have a great deal that is irresistible--and you end up with great items with little out of pocket. I often think I am not getting much but end up with a basket full.
