Latest Bones Episode: Extreme Couponer is the Victim

Okay, I just have to ask, did any of you watch last night's episode of Bones where the victim was an extreme couponer?  What did you all think?  The coupon trading scene reminded me of a wild game of Pit.  I was waiting to hear someone shout "corner on the Colgate."  I also found it interesting the gal who was apparently the "most extreme" couponer kept her coupons in a small file box--from the images of the large coupon binders I have seen "real extreme" couponers carry I don't think that representation was too accurate--of course they needed it as a possible murder weapon.  I know we have all run into unfriendly cashiers and managers who do not like coupons, even as non-extreme couponers, but I doubt any of us has ever been struck by one or have seen a cashier jump the counter to attack us.  TLC's Extreme Couponing show sure has brought couponing and stockpiling into the light.  Unfortunately, it appears to have shed an unfavorable light on coupon usage, which is unfortunate.

Actually watched it, and giggled, my daughter and I both, laughed at the Coupon Swapping Party. Said Really? I really really enjoyed the part where the store manager said "No I don't lose money, in fact, I get full face value from the manufacture, and in fact i get 8 cents on top of that, so I LOVE it when people use coupons! that statement right there should shed some light on those cashiers who don't know what the heck they are doing! it was a funny episode if you ask me.

We did laugh, too. Sad, a woman died but we found it funny. Yes, I noticed that statement, too, then forgot it after the show was over. We hadn't seen the previews so had no idea it was about Extreme couponing so was fun to watch it unfold.

How about the point where the husband said "she'll leave the house with her coupons and not come back for days!?!?!? I don't buy anything except milk, protein, and produce without coupons... So, some say I'm an extreme couponer. BUT, because of that, I know EXACTLY what I'm going to get when I go to the store. My shopping trips don't take long at all. Maybe more prep time before going to the store, but actually at the store, I'm in and out. That part just didn't make sense to me.

I thought it was hilarious...only because I know that is not the reality of most of us coupon-users...Yes, we have had some of the rudest cashiers but fortunately, not to the point of violence...I especially like the coupon club meeting...I have never been to one and it looked like a BF sale...LOL!!
