MP3 Player in CVS Ad of 3/11 Ringing Up On Clearance ~ $9.99

It is being reported that the $49.99 MP3 Player advertised at CVS this week with a $10 CVS cash card back {limit 2} is ringing up at $9.99 on clearance with the $10 cash card back.  I don't normally post these types of "WAY too good to be true" deals for mainly two reasons:  first, often they are an error in the system and aren't what CVS intends.  Secondly, after a day or two these types of deals are often pulled or fixed--meaning CVS did not intend to sell them for that price and also by the time readers find the post here about it or get to shop it will not be working any longer.  So I wanted to share this one to let you know why you will often not see these on Simply CVS.  {I am not saying the deals should not be done, it is just a personal preference for what I will post here and buy.  Personally, I wait a few days if I'd like to do one of these deals and if it is still available I will take advantage of it because by that time CVS could fix it if they intend to.  Again, this is a personal preference.}

Editing to add:  Some Simply CVS FB fans are reporting there are signs in their store that it is $9.99

This is a great deal!! We can start getting ready for Christmas on March! Have a quick question: the CVS Cash Card dont expire, can I give them away as a gift to someone else or they are attached to my cvs extra care rewards cards?

No, they are not attached to your card so anyone can use them.

I went to the CVS nearest me today to check on the mp3 players. There were two on the shelf and a sign for $9.99 on them. I purchased one since I had 10 ECBs to roll and cvs is slow this week.

The cashier told me that corporate made the decision to change it from $49.99 to $9.99. The glitch may now be in getting back a $10 cvs cash card for a $9.99 item.

I've heard on other sites from those that have purchased them that they are worth what you paid for them.. basically nothing or tax. Some found them DOA and others had to use another ear set. Older technology / software with it too. If you plan to give them for Christmas, take them out and make sure they work. You probably won't be able to return them in January. Buyer beware.. CVS probably wants to get them off the shelves.

I bought 4 last night in 4 seperate transactions and got the ten cvs cash everytime. I went back this morning for one of the smaller ones and it rang at 9.99 but no cvs cash. My friend bought the last 4 inch one and no cvs cash for her either so they must have caught on at corporate.

I don't why the lady on the phone at cvs would tell me it's back to 49.99. Maybe I'll just have to go in and make sure.

It seems like different people are reporting different things--that is one reason I don't like to post these types of deals as they seem to vary and like I had said, they are often glitches.
