CVS Ad Scan Preview for the Week of 4/1/2012

Here is the CVS ad scan preview for the week of April 1, 2012.  I will be putting up coupon match-ups for the deals before that week.  Meanwhile, you can see if there are any coupons you'd like to print for items on sale at RedPlumSmartSource, Coupon Network or Coupons.  Remember, you can almost always print two of each coupon.
If you'd like to find other coupons for CVS sale items I do not do each week, check out these instructions on where to find them.

Thanks to Didie at We Use Coupons for posting the CVS ad scan.  Simply CVS is part of the grocery gathering at BeCentsAble.

Hmm...not sure I am enjoying the new ad look. I feel like I can't see the deals. It's a little too fancy for me :)

On the front cover, it says that Cadbury single cream eggs are BOGO. But on page 9 (titled Easter Candy Sale), Hershey's Easter singles are $1/2. Since Cadbury's are a Hershey brand and are shown in that picture, does that mean that Cadbury's single easter eggs are both $0.50 and BOGO? That'd go really well with the $2 off of $10 Easter purchase. (40 eggs for $8!)

Good question, Larry, probably is one of those things we will have to wait and see what happens.

I have a question if you don't mind & hopefully I can make this clear (it's not clear in my head!). Okay, it says this week that Thermacare Heat Wraps are $5.99 - buy 2 get $5.00 ECB's back. I have a rain check for Thermacare that is $3.79 with $3.79 ECB's back. I also have 2 MQ's for $1.00 ea. Can I use my RC and get one for $3.79, use both of my MQ's - making the 1st one $2.79 and the 2nd one $4.99, AND get back the $3.79 from my RC + $5.00 from this weeks deal? (I hope that made some sense!) Thanks for your help - I'd like to get a feel for this before asking at the store. I've never done a transaction like this before - using a RC with ECB's back on a deal that also includes ECB's back! (Whew!) :)

Tammy, this may be one of those things that varies. A few years ago I was teaching a gal how to CVS and she had this same scenario and when she checked out she asked the cashier and she said, yes, if you have a RC they honor it and you can get the ECB deal for the current week. I have also read on couponing boards that people have gotten both ECB deals. The register will automatically issue the ECB if the deal is done correctly--the only problem that may arise is because of the price difference. But once I had a RC for Blistex for $.99 and was using it and there happened to be an ECB deal that week and even tho the price was different the ECB deal printed out (I was surprised because I was more interested in the 99 cent price than the ECB deal so didn't even think about it). Sooooo, that is as confusing an answer as you could get :-). But I would expect you could use the RC an you would get the ECB.

@anon. To make it less confusing check out twice. Get one of them with the rain check get your $3.79 ECB. Then check out with the second one and get the ECB for that weeks sales. I agree with Cheryl the price difference might make it so the ECB for the current week won't print but I think because it says buy 2 it should. Good Luck.

Thank you Cheryl and @anon - I guess I'll just have to see what happens! The clerks at my store are nice & helpful so I'll just ask & expain - I do have to watch out for myself a lot - meaning quite a few times the register didn't print my ECB's (just last week with the jelly beans - I bought 2 and only got the ECB's back for 1 so they had to print it manually & the week before that with a qualifing purchase they didn't print either ~ I've actually learned to stand in the store & check my receipt before I leave!) so I don't want to just leave it up to the register! Hopefully it will work out the way I'm hoping so that will be a good little deal for me!
Thank you both again for the response.....

P.S. Cheryl - I hope your move went well and didn't aggravate your fibro too much.

Thanks, Tammy. Actually we are moving a van and car load each day :-). I go to my mom's in the morning and pack and pack her car and then we do our van in the afternoon and run over the loads. My daughters are helping. We do the final move next Thursday (well, the big furniture, etc. -- not sure Hubby's shed will be empty by then, but we will at least be sleeping in the new house then). They are still having issues with the Radon but hopefully it is fixed now--we will get the reading on Saturday.

I'm glad you are doing it slowly (over time) so you aren't too overwhelmed. Be sure to rest your body in between loads if you can! Good luck & best wishes in your new place (that's exciting!). And remember, it will all get done with a little time, so don't push yourself!
Thanks again,
Tammy

What happend to the buy $30 get a $10 cash card? Two boxes of cereal hardly add up to $9 and isn't much of an incentive for me to spend $30.

No longer doing the cash card deals. They may start something else soon--rumors are flying, but nothing in print yet that I have seen.
