For How Many Cents Under the Total Deal Amount Will an Extra Buck Print?
Have you ever wondered at what dollar amount under the total stated in the ad that an extra buck deal will print? I always have tried to hit the $10 or $20 or whatever dollar amount stated in the deal is (such as Buy $10 get $3 ECB), but at times I have been a few pennies under and they have printed. I recently saw these totals listed that they will print at (this is including the spend $30 get $10 CVS Cash Card deals).

I argued with the manager last week because I asked for a raincheck for the Lady Speed Stick deal. They were 1.99 each and I wanted to buy six which would put me at $11.96 and the extra bucks would be generated for the $12 deal. She adamantly denied this would happen, that I had to be at $12 or more. She wouldn't write it on the raincheck unless I bought seven.

So if you "throw in an extra inexpensive item", that item doesn't have to be "part of the deal"? You can throw in a pack of gum or something just to get it up to the specified dollar amount?

No, Tammy, sorry for the confusion. It has to be part of the deal. Like on the cash card deals there is often a 99 cent item included. On some of the other deals there is not a really inexpensive item to throw in.
Thanks for clearing that up (in my head!) Cheryl. Still learning....One other question if you don't mind - I asked at my store the other day & was told on a B1G1 1/2 off sale that you could use 2 MQ's (one for ea. item), but on the B1G1 free deals - can you use 2 MQ's on those as well. (One MQ on the 1st item you are "buying" and another on the "free" item - to bring your total down on the 1st one?) Hope that makes sense! :)
In other words, ECB's print when you reach 98% of the stated dollar purchase amount.
CVS no longer accepts one coupon on each item in a B1G1 Sale--they used to.
WRONG.....CVS has just issued a new coupon policy. You CAN use 2 coupons on a B1G1.
Hi I was .40 off on a spend 20 get 10eb a few weeks ago and it didn't print. the manager gave it to me anyway though, they put it through manually for me.
