My store has a selection of make-up from all different brands (Revlon, Maybelline, Covergirl, Almay, etc.) at 50% and 75% off clearance.

I'm trying to find any coupons that will work with the clearance deals (foundation, eye shadow, nail polish).

I would recommend people looking in the make-up section to see if they have any deals, too!

Has anyone had problems with the American Greeting ECBs printing off? I bought 3 99c cards and it did not print and the manager tried to give all kinds of excuses (like I bought assorted cards as it said on the receipt, not single!!!)and also that I could not get more ECBs than what I paid for etc. He talked to somoeone else who told him to ask me if I did this offer before and I said that a long time ago. So he said he would print one off for 2.97 (which I knew would be rounded up to $3 anyway) but that it wasn't right or whaever. The event code showed up as invalid on the register which tells me it's not in the system.

Sammie, great items and looks like you came out just even--spent almost nine and got nine--the best kind of shops!

    Cheryl @ Simply Shoeboxes said...

Jocelyn, it is fun to get goodies with the extra bucks we earn on products we buy anyway.

    Cheryl @ Simply Shoeboxes said...

Gotta love those money making trips, Miz Monie.

    Cheryl @ Simply Shoeboxes said...

Cris, we had Hallmark cards here and they printed. I know in the past one or two of the kinds we have purchased haven't showed up, but they always give us the extra bucks as it says any. It is interesting to hear the excuses they give for why it didn't print--most often you know they aren't the reason. BTW I haven't read of anyone else having trouble this week with it--but if you did I assume many are having issues.

    Christina C. said...

Sure was. I came across it last night, but kicked myself for not actually bringing my full binder, was only picking up the sense & sprays last night. Had a bit of a "snow storm" last night and couldn't get back until lunch break...missed out on a few items, but totally scored!

so i did the cash card deal, then tried to use it in another transaction but it wouldnt work...then after the cashier tried a couple times, the register prints
    "Attention Valued Customer"
Due to a technical issue,we are unable to process your CVS Gift Card.We apologize for any inconvenience. This matter will be referred to our Customer Relations Department for further research. To speak with a CVS Customer
Representative about this matter. Please call 1-800-SHOP-CVS

they told me to come in another day and try it then, because "corporate is in Rhode Island" and theres a storm? And if it doesnt work to try calling..any1 else having problems??

    Cheryl @ Simply Shoeboxes said...

Ami, I have not read of this problem. They must not have activated it correctly. I hope you can get thru today and they can fix it for you.

    Christina C. said...

    Ami and Cheryl,

I've never received a message like that, but usually get the manager over...just about every time I go to use a Cash card or a CVS gift card, they would have trouble swipping it. Maybe it is something they are still working on, or maybe Cashiers aren't activating the card correctly. Either way, I've had less problems since they switched to the CVS Cash Card.

    Cheryl @ Simply Shoeboxes said...

Thanks for the input, Christina. I only did the cash card deal once and they actually just gave me a gift card so I haven't even seen the cash cards. Glad it is working better for you now.
