Excedrin, Gas-X, NoDoz & Bufferin Recall

Novartis has voluntarily recalled Excedrin, Gas-X Prevention, NoDoz & Bufferin products with expiration dates before 12/2013. "NCH is taking this action as a precautionary measure, because the products may contain stray tablets, capsules, or caplets from other Novartis products, or contain broken or chipped tablets."  You can find out all of the details on their website:  Novartis-OTC.

I know we often get Excedrin at CVS on deals and many of you may rely on these products. They are shutting down one of their plants and it sounds like their may end up being a shortage of products.

I have at least 10 bottles of Excedrin. I can't decide if I should send it back or not because it is the only thing that works for my headaches... They said they would reimburse you for the suggested retail value of the products plus $2 for shipping, which is nice considering I paid pennies on the dollar for them, but I'm torn...I know there is going to be a shortage. Anyone know of anything comparable to Excedrin migraine?

Excedrin migraine and excedrin are the same medication. The only difference is the instruction reading material.

Many stores make housebrands. I buy "equate" pain reliever at walmart in similar green &white packaging.

Cvs, waldgreens, duane reede. Rite aid. etc offer house brands. I prefer the better discount at walmart

Crystal, I thought the same thing if it is something you truly depend on. Check out this post I put up about a CVS brand: http://www.simplycvsshopping.com/2012/01/cvs-brand-headache-excedrin-try-it-as.html .
