CVS Ad Scan Preview for the Week of 1/29

Here is the CVS ad scan preview for the week of January 29, 2012.  I will be putting up coupon match-ups for the deals before that week.  Meanwhile, you can see if there are any coupons you'd like to print for items on sale at RedPlumSmartSource, Coupon Network or Coupons.  Remember, you can almost always print two of each coupon.

Thanks to Didie at We Use Coupons for the CVS ad scan.  Simply CVS is part of the grocery gathering at BeCentsAble.

If you'd like to find other coupons for CVS sale items I do not do each week, check out these instructions on where to find them

I am going to give up on shopping at cvs even though I am so inspired when I come to this blog !I always have disaster's and leave so frustrated !! There is one "regular" cashier there that hates couponers that rolls her eyes when I hand and her a coupon . When I go into the store and see her I just leave, it's not worth the hassel.

Anon, I totally understand. I wish you could shop my little CVS--they are great, but they also learned alot by my shopping there and sharing what I learned about CVS couponing policies. CVS corporate would be very unhappy with your treatment--they aim at wonderful customer service and are hard on employees that don't measure up to that and reward ones that do, too. I don't know if I would do it, or if you would want to, but I have read of people having experiences like yours and calling and discussing it with customer service and they talked with the manager and the employee did a 360 degree turn around and was sweet as pie to the customer. Just a thought.

When I did have bad experiences at I found if I did just one or two deals even a week I still saved a lot and then the cashiers didn't seem to mind so much or scrutinize all of my coupons.

I hate to see you miss out on the deals at CVS and I hate to say this, but if you have a Rite Aid nearby I recently discovered them and both that I have been in have been wonderful. I have been going in just to get freebies or fantastic deals for my shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child because I want to pack more than CVS deals can provide :-). Simply Frugal Living puts up Rite Aid Matchups each week at: http://simplyfrugalliving.com/category/rite-aid/ .

Let me know if you decide to carry on at CVS or you are leaving. I'd love to hear.

Cheryl you are the sweetest person !! Thanks for the encouraging words...I tried shopping at different times of the day to avoid the grumpy cashier but she always seems to be there morning and night !! So I have deceided to shop at a different CVS. It's not close by or even in my town so I have to go when I'm out in that area. It does have younger friendlier cashiers and is actually better stocked. So we'll see how it goes, it's just not very conveinient .
No I'm sorry to say we don't have any Rite Aides in the area that I live but we do have Walgreen's so I have been able to do a little shopping there. I will however keep following your blog as I love to see how you shop and I love reading all the posts. ! So keep up the good work.
Thanks again for your reply. I hope you are feeling better these days :)

You are very welcome :-). Funny you mention younger cashiers being more friendly as my daughter and I have found that to be true and actually stopped in Rite Aid yesterday just for some free gum and the gal, my age, was far from pleasant--just the opposite and we were talking about how the young employees at the same store were so much more laid back and personable. I hope you can get some good deals. Walgreens is supposed to have great deals, but ours are waaaaay too unfriendly--much too stressful to shop there. I hope yours gives you great deals. And I'm glad to hear you will still be around Simply CVS visiting with me.

I have a free box of John Frieda coupon that expires soon, and I want to use it for the deal this week, however I'm still short $3 from the eb's.I noticed the root awakening was also part of the deal for $5 but at my local CVS its on clearance for $3,does that work? or does it exclude clearance,i didn't see anything in the ad-thanks

If the ad does not exclude it it should work, Ami, but until you try it you never know for sure. I know cosmetic clearance almost never counts, but other clearance seems to.
