My SECOND CVS Shopping Trip 12/11/2011 Ad ~ Money Maker: Over $1000 Saved to Date on $50 Gift Card Challenge~Trip #17

My daughter had a doctor's appointment today so I rode into town with her and stopped at CVS again for more vitamins and $10 CVS gift card.  I scanned my card for the $5/1 ProNutrient coupon and had taken two printable coupons for $5 each with me.  Since I had purchased one the other day by getting these two and paying $5 I could get the $10 CVS gift card back.  My store still had several of these in stock. [You can see my first trip of the week:
Also a money maker where I saved $68.]

I also had a free Thermacare coupon I had received in the mail from CVS a while back that expired today.  It was only free up to $3.99 and cost $4.19, which really worked perfect.  I had a $6 extra bucks, so with the Thermacare and vitamins and all the coupons I was at $5.18.  I had my daughter pick out a clearance Revlon eye shadow and used a $1 off coupon--it came to $.82--so I was at my $6 and could come away with paying tax only and receiving the $10 Gift Card.

Also notice my new totals for the $50 CVS Gift Card Challenge I am currently doing.  I am over the $1000 mark and still have $ 75 spending power from my original $50 CVS gift card (see various balances below that total to this amount).

I am currently doing a $50 Beginner's CVS Gift Card Challenge seeing how much I can get for a $50 gift card I earned on Swagbucks with a new CVS Extra Care Card just like a new shopper would be able to get.  The challenge will end when I run out of gift card and cash to be able to pay the tax.  I will  most likely have extra bucks left over, but without cash to pay the tax they are basically useless so this challenge will end.

$50 Beginner's CVS Gift Card Challenge Balances:

Total Saved:  $ 1089.92  (including tax)
Total Spent:  $ 54.11 (including tax)  Some of this was from the gift cards I earned from what I have spent so far in the original $50 GC.
Total Value of Products Purchased:  $  1072.96 (without tax)
Gift Card Balance:  $  30.56*  (began with a $50 GC earned on Swagbucks)
Gift Cards Earned Balance :  $ 25.33* (these are CVS gift cards earned on deals purchased with this $50 GC)
Cash from Rebates Balance:  $  9.56* (from rebates sent in on products purchased with this gift card--less stamps)
Extra Buck Balance:  $  10.00* (I began with no extra bucks with this gift card)
*Total CVS Spending Power Balance: $ 75.45

This week's trip's details:

2 -- ProNuttrient Omega Vitamins @ $.99 each [part of gift card deal--finished my deal from earlier trip]
Used 2 -- $5/1 Printable Coupons
Used 1 -- $5/1 Scanner coupon
1 -- Revlon Eye shadow $ 1.82 (75% off)
Used 1 -- $1/1 Revlon Color Insert Coupon
1 -- Thermacare @ $4.19
Used 1 -- Free CVS coupon I received in the mail (good up to $3.99 only)
1 -- $10 CVS Gift Card
Used 1 -- CVS coupon for free GC earned from Vitamins

Saved:  $  47.06+ $ 1.43 tax = $ 48.49 (some of my tax is paid on coupon values, this is the tax on the total product less the tax I paid--that is all I saved on tax)
Spent:  $  .00 + $ 1.75  tax = $ 1.75
Beginning Extra Bucks Balance: $ 16.00
Total Extra Bucks used:  $ 6.00
Total Extra Bucks earned:  $ .00
Gift Card Earned:  $10.00

NOTE:  Because I often do multiple transactions my total extra bucks earned may differ from the ending extra buck balance and the total used may exceed the beginning balance as I use some from one transaction on another.

Check out these and all of this week's deals.  Also, read how I have learned (from others) how to "stack" the coupons in the right order to pay for tax.  Some states have to pay tax on extra buck usage and some don't so it may or may not affect your CVS shopping.  And if you don't have any, or many, extra bucks check out how to have the least out of pocket cash when beginning or check out these scenarios for spending less than $5 or $10 out of pocket for several items.

I had a few very nice trips this week. I used some ECBs, 25% off coupons, CVS and manufacturer Huggies coupons to restock my diaper supply. I also stacked coupons and got my photo cards for less than $6. After purchasing the diapers, a few groceries, and putting some ECBs into stocking stuffers and gifts, I'd used all my Black Friday profits. My local stores did not have the vitamins, but today I stopped by another CVS near my work site and was able to buy 6 vitamins. Just as I was was down to my last ECBs/gift cards, I have CVS money again and some free vitamins! I love, love, love CVS and I thank you for posting the vitamin deal. :)

Omygosh Im so happy I went to a 24 hr cvs today and a manager was the one in the cash register. All vitamins is B1G1 50% sale and I showed him my rain check for pro nutrient. My transaction.
The items I bought
2 x $9.99 Pro Nutrient 50ct
1 x $22.98 Pro Nutrient 100 ct
He just looked at my rain check once and told me what he is going to do with it. What he did is he turned the 100 ct into (2) 50 ct and and priced it as $9.99 and $12.99 so the receipt shows

3 x $9.99 Pro Nutrient 50ct
1 x $12.99 Pro Nutrient 50ct
4 x $5.00 mfc
4 x $5.00 cvs pro nutrient coupon

(he even accepted these cvs coupons even though I told him 3 are expired, he had to do some extra step to get it to work but he was so nice and everything went smoothly)

I paid $2.96 + $3.76 tax = $6.72
After that he asked me what giftcard I want and I said CVS ofcourse hahaha
Got back $10.00 CVS giftcard that's $3.28 MM awesome awesome awesome

After that I bought
2 x $2.25 Revlon Colorstay Lipstick(75% off)
Used the giftcard I got paid $0 and got $8 ECB back it was manually printed by the same manager I didn't expect that to print because it was a clearance but there was no clearance exclusion on the ad. He even looked at the ad. Another money maker.

I love CVS :D
