My Second CVS Shopping Trip for the Week of 10/30 ~ $3 Money Maker

Since there was confusion about the advertised Aveeno deal, buy 2 get $7, and the size advertised, I decided to skip the trial size on Monday.  Tho I knew my store would honor the ad and give me the extra bucks, I felt if CVS didn't intend it to be included I would skip it.  As I reported, later in the week it was fixed and the extra bucks were printing.  Well, I was able to stop in today at CVS on the way to look at new/used cars (ours was totaled this week by a car speeding thru a red light). So I scanned my card, got another free coffee drink coupon (they were out of these) and I got the two trial size Aveenos.  I had to use a $4 extra buck so I grabbed a Reinventing Beauty Magazine since I knew there was $1 coupon in there I could use on Black Friday and get my money back out of
it.

I did this on sunday and it didn't print the ecbs. I just figured the source that said I could get it on the trial sizes was wrong. Is there anyway I can get after the fact? I still have my receipt

Anon, on Monday call 800shopcvs with your receipt in hand and talk with them about it. Many people have reported doing that and they have issued the extra bucks to their cards to print in the store.

The only reason that they do that is to get rid of the couponers pestering them. You know you're wrong and they know you're wrong. They just don't want to deal with you.

well Anonymous, before accusing others get your facts right. The people calling up werent wrong. The ad clearly stated 0.5oz onwards. If you dont have the courage to come out with your real name, I think you should comment on others espclly since you dont even know the facts. I hate such rude Anonymous commenting people who keep poking their nose in things they have no idea About.

In the previous comment I mean "I think you should not comment on others espclly since you dont even know the facts. I hate such rude Anonymous commenting people who keep poking their nose in things they have no idea About.

Cheryl, I'm sorry to hear about your car. Hope you are all physically OK after that. Thank you again for you blog.

My store had a sign on the travel size bins saying that they wouldn't work for the EB deal, so I didn't bother purchasing them. I do OK with my CVS deals so I didn't mind missing this one.

My local CVS is still out of the free coffee drinks from last week, so I asked at the counter if they'd be getting any more before my coupon expires. They didn't know and offered to substitute ANY refrigerated drink up to the $2.49 value. It's worth asking about. I got a Monster energy drink for free (plus sales tax, of course) and saw that Rockstar energy drinks were also $2.49. I think some of the Starbucks coffees were in the same price range as well.

Thanks, Mary. My husband and Sarah were in the car. They were pretty sore for a few days--Sarah had some pretty bad bruises. If it had hit a little further down the side I don't think my husband would still be alive.

Thanks, Pojo :-). As you know, we practice ethical couponing here at Simply CVS and encourage it. Since CVS changed the system to include these I saw nothing wrong with purchasing them and accepting the extra bucks they gave me. And for those who purchased them earlier in the week they were following the sizes that CVS advertised so, they too, were "following the rules."

I hadn't thought to ask for a substitute until I got home, brkornhaus, thanks for the reminder. I will ask today.

Hey Cheryl, I dont mean to be rude but my name is misspelled. U r welcome :), i love ur space ans so I kinda took the liberty at being rude to "anonymous"

Pooja, I deeply apologize at the misspelling. I have a fetish of spelling names correctly--I was a little taken aback by the annon. comment and was quickly trying to get off of here. I try to always double check the spellings of names before I hit submit. Again, I apologize.
