My CVS Shopping Trip for Weekly Ad of 11/16/2011 ~ Trip #10 of $50 Gift Card Challenge

I had a really late trip to CVS this week and a small one.   There was not much I wanted and I had a $5 Extra Buck expiring on Monday and just in case I didn't make it I decided I had better be sure and get in the store.
I picked up the Carmex for the try me free rebate since I had a $1/1 coupon and a 20% off coupon (which took a grand total of $.21 off) and it would use up the balance of my $5 ECB.  I did loose 3 extra bucks on this trip, but I also have $4.38 more towards the Beauty Club rewards and will get $2.99 back for the Carmex (which, when received, I will add that--less the stamp price--back
into the spending balance of this Gift Card Challenge).

I am currently doing a $50 Beginner's CVS Gift Card Challenge seeing how much I can get for a $50 gift card I earned on Swagbucks with a new CVS Extra Care Card just like a new shopper would be able to get.

$50 Beginner's CVS Gift Card Challenge Balances:

Total Saved:  $  529.22 (including tax)
Total Spent:  $ 21.22 (including tax)
Total Value of Products Purchased:  $ 516.90 (without tax)
Gift Card Balance:  $ 30.56
Gift Cards Earned on deals Balance:  $ 18.22
Extra Buck Balance:  $ 15.00 (I began with no extra bucks with this gift card)
Total CVS Spending Power:  $63.78

This week's trip's details:

Saved:  $  10.00 + $ .47 tax = $ 10.47 (some of my tax is paid on coupon values, this is the tax on the total product less the tax I paid--that is all I saved on tax)
Spent:  $ .03 + $ .21 tax = $ .24
Beginning Extra Bucks Balance: $ 18.00
Total Extra Bucks used:  $ 5.00
Total Extra Bucks earned:  $ 2.00
Ending Extra Bucks Balance:  $ 15.00

NOTE:  Because I often do multiple transactions my total extra bucks earned may differ from the ending extra buck balance and the total used may exceed the beginning balance as I use some from one transaction on another.

Transaction #1 (just one today):

1 -- Dawn @ $.99
Used 1 -- $.50/1 Manufacturer Coupon

1 -- Ivory 3-pack @ $.99 (this is going in my Operation Christmas Child stockpile for 2012)

1 -- Gillette Fusion @ $2.37 get $2.00 ECB
Used 1 -- $1.00 manufacturer insert coupon

1 -- Carmex Moisture Plus lip gloss @ $3.39
Used 1 -- $1/1 Printable (no longer available)
Used 20% off CVS coupon = $.21
Will send in for the Carmex Moisture Plus Try Me Free Rebate for $2.99

Spent:  $ .03 + tax
Extra Bucks used:  $ 5.00
Extra Bucks earned:  $ 2.00

I see a shaving cream can in your picture. Was this a freebie? I ask because it's not mentioned in the shopping trip.

You are always so amazing with your shopping!!

Donna, I just fixed the post--I forgot to put it in. It was $2.37 less a $1 manufacturer coupon and got $2 extra bucks back. It is a small can.
