Share Your CVS Shopping Trip & Gift Card Challenge Balances for the Weekly Ad of 10/16/2011

Simply CVS Gift Card ChallengeDid you find any good deals  from the CVS Weekly Ad of 10/16 to purchase?  Are you taking the Simply CVS. CVS Gift Card Challenge?  If you blog about your shopping trip I'd love for you to put a link to your post (a link back would be appreciated, but is not necessary); and if you don't blog please leave a comment below.  I really enjoy seeing what others get and it is a great way to learn how to CVS.  I learned from reading and reading and reading what others did. I
am still learning!

If you have a linky on your blog and are linking up here, add "link up" to your title below so readers can link up at your blog, too.
PLEASE NOTE:  ONLY link up to your CVS shopping post directly, all others will be removed.  I have had readers mention too many links are not to CVS shopping posts.
If you are doing the challenge please note that in your link title below.

If you'd like to see some saavy shopping at other stores, or if you'd like to link up your CVS deals trips to other places here are a few to check out.  If you are a blogger and have a weekly savings linky and would like it added, leave a link to it in a comment below and I will add it.

Surprised people arent raving about the Prevacid deal this week. There's a mail in rebate in the coupons this week I believe smart source.

4 wisk detergents@4.99
3 suave deodorants @1.00
1 schick hydro 5 refill 8.29
3 crest with scope (rang up under 2/5.50 which I didn't expect)
1 Almay I-color liner 5.99

Started with 25 dollars in extra bucks.

Used 1.00 off Almay from walmart insert
2.00 off schick from 10/16
(4)2.00 off wisk from 10/16
(3)2.00 off crest

My total came to 4.49 plus 2.96 in tax. Total opp 7.45 plus 12 dollars in EB. Going back today for 2 more wisk and lysol no touch. Which will give me the 10 dollar gift card and 8 EB's rolling over for next week. My receipt shows I saved 68.43.

So, the way I like to look at it, is how a non couponer, but good shopper that buys stuff on sale would have done. In 1 transaction they would have spent $255.21 and gotten back $54 EBs and $50 gift cards...still pretty good. You can't beat CVS!!!!

Fantastic, Karen. I always forget about the beauty club until it prints--I need to get to where I remember I will get 5% back on my beauty purchases and figure that in. It's great when you can order ahead.

It's 10% on Beauty Club Cheryl.. I'm sure you know better than any of us about the rewards.. just wanted to clarify for anyone reading though. :-)

I'm really going to miss that reward when the promotion is supposed to stop at the end of the year!

Anonymous commenter #1.. the Prevacid rebate was on the front of the CVS ad on September 18th and there was a link to it and to the coupon on the CVS website too. A lot of CVS'ers have already sent it in, which is why you haven't read much about it this week.

Right, Pat, thanks I was thinking $5 on $50 and put 5% instead--I usually put out the whole thing.

Crazy week. Since I didn't write down the info when it was fresh in my mind I forgot some of the details.

Bought the Prevacid, thought it was going to be a money maker but turns out the rebate will be minus the four dollar coupon I used. I used up my ECBs to buy it so I'm adding my expected rebate to my "cash" column, $14.99. In a nutshell my oop was $1.18 but I saved $47.67, and got some ECB's back hopefully I'll get back on track with the details.

I think I am picking up my first rebate item next week for my GC challenge. I'll not put in the amount until I have in it in hand, though, as otherwise I would probably get confused when it came. lol
