Eating out can get quite expensive and quickly eat away at a budget. We rarely eat out and when we do we try to save where we can while still enjoying our time out. There are many restaurants that offer discount coupons or specials thru emails or at their websites. There are also kids' clubs or birthday clubs for many restaurants that offer free meals or other specials. So if you have a favorite restaurant check out their website to see if they offer any discounts or have an email mailing list and sign up. Here are several current offers:
Bob Evans free kids meal with each adult entree Labor Day Weekend 9/2 - 9/5
Coupon (thanks
Simply Frugal Living)
Restuarant.com offers restaurant gift certificates at greatly discounted prices (usually $25 for just $10). Thru 9/7 you can get an additional 80% off the price you pay with the code "RDCSALE." They have limited number of restaurants in small areas, but if you are near a larger city there should be several in your area.
McDonald's After School Booklet is being sold at many McDonald's locations for $1 and has 12 coupons for free snacks including hamburger and small cone. (thanks

Restaurant.com is great! I've purchased several from them and have had great experiences. I recommend signing up for emails from them, they often do 80% off weekends, where you can pay just $2 for an originally $10 certificate for $25 value final--which is a fantastic deal. Happy dining out everyone :)
Thanks, Anon, we don't have any offers in our small area, but when we have gone to larger towns we have checked and gotten them. Thanks for the email idea.
