So I did the Dove deal today and have a question.. why do you only use 3 coupons for this deal?

5 Shampoo/Conditioners for $15

Used 2 B1G1 Coupons (took off $6 total)
Used 3 $1 coupons (took off $3 total)

Was I not suppose to do it like that? the register took them fine.

I figured 2 BOGO coupons are for 2 FREE items. Then used 3 $1 coupons on the "full price" items. 5 coupons for 5 products. Is that not how that works?

Is the BOGO coupon suppose to be for both of the products?

Magda, that used to be allowed at CVS, but with their new written policy it no longer is. They do not allow coupons on "free" items (here is a link for the post I wrote introducing the written policy): http://www.simplycvsshopping.com/2011/09/cvs-written-coupon-policy-and-some-faq.html ).

Thanks Cheryl.
Ok so I knew about the free item but I thought that only applies when the store has a BOGO sale. In that case you can only use a coupon on the full price item.

In my transaction the FREE item became FREE with the coupon and I used another coupon on the full price item. I don't see how that would be the same thing.

If I have time today I'll try to call them and ask about this =D

It is so confusing, Magda. Let us know what you find out. Others have called in the past couple of months and have been told, no they couldn't. I wish they could post for each type of thing, B1G1 sales and coupons. Apparently using B1G1 coupons with B1G1 sales is still fine, though, which doesn't seem to jive.

Bought mine Fructis today and while I bought 5, the bottom of the receipt says "Buy 4 Get 5 ECB", so perhaps only 4 triggers the ECB.

Didn't realize the ads were regional different, but my ad had 5/15 but the receipt said 4/15.

Interesting, Katie. I didn't even look at what my ad said.
