I noticed there is a $ 2 Saving Star coupon for the freshmatic compact starter kits. Couldn't this make the deal even sweeter?

can you post what week that coupon was issued & where for the air wick

very good but... I wont be able to do this. I m subscribed to my paper and it came with two SS, one RP and the general Mills insert. I went to CVS to buy extra papers (I do this when good coupons come around e.i. the first Sunday of month because of the P&G insert) and to my surprise none of the papers had any inserts inside. Thank God i have the habit of checking them before paying... what a disappointment. :-( - I don't use clipping service sites so now I cant take advantage of the good deals

I saw that on Saving Star, to, but there are so many different products I get confused.lol But I grabbed it just in case it matched.

Cheryl said...

Sorry, Anon, in my haste I didn't notice the insert date was not in there. I've added it above.

Sobeida, I have had so many problems with no inserts I quit buying the paper. My husband's co-workers kindly bring inserts often so I actually have enough to do this deal. I don't have anyplace that sells inside so we have to get them out of a box and by the time you can check you have already paid.

I'm a bit curious. Since you got the ECB even though the subtotal was less than $20 does that mean they include the tax to reach the $20 mark? Sometimes I want to buy something for 9.97 w/ a $3 ECB reward wyb $10, but since it is three pennies short of the $10 requirement I always add another item. Would I get the $3 at 9.97 w/o tax or is it hit or miss?

Cheryl said...

Hit and miss exactly, Carol. It used to be that they always printed up to several cents short. Then they didn't at all and lately they will sometimes. I try to keep my eyes open on the couponing boards to see if anyone is reporting it printing for under. Like Didie shared above, this one does. But no, tax does not count.

I tried to do this deal at 2 of my local CVS and was told that the imotion starter set could not be used with the coupon.. and pointed to a different item that was on sale for 7.99

Cheryl said...

Leo, I haven't gone yet to compare the product to the coupon. In my original match-ups I put these in with a note that others said they would match but until this week came and it was confirmed I couldn't say for sure. Many people reported it working--people I know to do ethical couponing, so I decided it must be correct. I know we have gotten deals like this before on Airwick. I'll have to read the coupon closely and look at the products when I get there. thanks for the heads up and sorry you missed out.

Silly question, but do I need to buy these all at the same time? Or does it track on my card? I can't find a store that has enough in stock.

Cheryl said...

Melanie, it will keep track for you.

Melanie said...

Yay! Thank you! :)

is that mean that i can buy 1 airwick cause that's all they have and go to a different cvs and bought 3 more, is it going to print the $10 ECB?

Cheryl said...

Yes, look at the bottom of your receipt after you buy the first one--it should show you have $4.99 towards it.

Thanks Cheryl! I was supposed to go to CVS after lunch, but then a rain storm came through our area....hopefully they'll still be there tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I should have enough coupons.

I bought the 4 imotion starter kits yesterday and used 4 -$4 airwick cpns and everything went all right for me as I got my $10 ECBs.

Rachel said...

For some reason one of the Airwick I-motion kits rang up as $1.24 so it threw off my strategy in order to spend the $20. I was starting to think that it was the total AFTER coupons. So thank goodness that wasn't the case.

I was able to get 6 of the spray refills using 2 of the buy 3 get 1 free and 3 of the $1.50 off 1 refill. I could have used 3 of the $1.50, but I misplaced one.

Cheryl said...

Wow, Rachel, that is some price!

I saw 2 types of I-motions. They had some that just said Airwick I-motion and the others that were Freshmatic I-motion. Both were $4.99. I bought the Freshmatic I-motions and the coupons worked just fine. I bought 4 for $19.96 and got back my $10.

Cheryl said...

Valencia, that is what I ran into, too.

Allison said...

Hi! Cheryl, the ECB limit is it per card or per household? I'm asking cause I have a card and my husband have his own card.

Cheryl said...

Allison, it is supposed to be per household. Each household now is only to have one card--more than one household though can live in the same house (more than one family, adult children living at home--with different phone numbers, from what a C.S. rep told me). So technically it works per card--if they have different phone numbers I guess, but says per household in the ad. I have read since they made the change that they will cancel cards if they are from the same household and both are being used. I don't know if this true or not.

When I used my B2G1 free coupon on the refills it took off $5.50 instead of $4.99 - not sure why but hey, worked out better for me!!! :-)

Cheryl said...

Very strange, Sara, but worked out nice for you.
