Share Your CVS Shopping Trip for the Weekly Ad of 8/14/2011

Did you find any good deals  from the CVS Weekly Ad of 8/14 to purchase?  If you blog about your shopping trip I'd love for you to put a link to your post (a link back would be appreciated, but not necessary); and if you don't blog please leave a comment below.  I really enjoy seeing what others get and it is a great way to learn how to CVS.  I learned from reading and reading and reading what
others did. I am still learning!

PLEASE NOTE:  ONLY link up to your CVS shopping post directly, all others will be removed.  I have had readers mention too many links are not to CVS shopping posts. I have not had the time over the last several weeks to check the links as I was in the beginning.  I hope to start again this week.

If you have a linky on your blog and are linking up here, add "link up" to your title below so readers can link up at your blog, too.

If you'd like to see some saavy shopping at other stores, or if you'd like to link up your CVS deals trips to other places here are a few to check out.  If you are a blogger and have a weekly savings linky and would like it added, leave a link to it in a comment below and I will add it.

My shopping trip this week :-)

I bought:

2 Vaseline Lotions 2/$5
1 Caramello Bar $1.19
1 Playtex Tampons $7.99
5 G Fit Drinks $1 x 5
1 CVS Band-Aids $3.49

I used:

$3 off $15
(2) $1 Lotions
Free Tampons, Up to $5
CVS Band-Aid, Up to $4.29 (which is the amount it took off)
CVS Free Candy Bar $1.19
$7 ECB

My total was $.20 and I got back $8 EBC... PLUS when I was in the store last week I got the free CVS body wash w/ coupon but it did not take it off my total, I did not notice until I got home. When I went in to show the manager he gave me $2.50 back instead of the $2.27, so that little $.23 "tip" actually paid for this weeks trip!!!

used free bandaid CVS coupon
Paid $5 got $5 ECB

GG, your little tip paid for your order with 3 cents left :-).

Great trips for you, Jeanette. I think many of us are going to miss the gas cards once fall comes.

Playtex 36ct $7.99
Revlon Nail Polish $4.99
Lumene Cream $3.99
Lumene Cream (50% off) $1.99
2 Sally Hansen Nail Treatment $6.38
2 Sally Hansen Nail Polish $6.58
CVS Badges $3.79
Carefree 20 ct
CVS Bodywash $3.99
------
$41.27

Had a $5 off $25 and all the standard coupons. (I received all 3 Freebies from CVS machine) & I got overage on several coupons: $2 for Lumene (took off $4 and $3.99), .30 on Carefree (took off 1.87) and $.50 for the bandages (took off $4.29).

Pre ECB total was $16.13
used 16 ECB and got $10 ECB back.

The coupon for the bodywash (FREE from FB page) wasn't accepted, no idea why, but I ended up getting it anyway. I'm less than $20 away from Beauty Club reward so I should have an extra $5 for next week.

Strange on the FB coupon. Sarah is using hers today--will be interested to see how it goes. You had a great week, though.

For the first time, I went to CVS on a Saturday night to take advantage of both this weeks and last week's sale items at the same time. I had a $5 off $40 coupon expiring on Saturday as well as the Soft soap body wash coupons expiring so it worked out really well.

Saturday August 13th:
3 x Softsoap bodywash $9
3 x Renuzit airfresheners 88c each
Nature Made Fish Oil & Nature made vitamin D BOGO so $10.49 for both
Garnier anti wrinkle cream $13.99
3 x Trident gum 99c each
2x Haagendaaz icecream $7

Total =$46.09

Used 2 x $1Mfr Softsoap bodywash
1 x 50cMfr Softsoap bodywash
B2 G1 free Renuzit Mfr
2 x $2 CVS Nature made (from magic coupon machine)
2 x $1Mfr any nature made
$5 off $40 purchase
3 x $1 off Trident gum CVS coupon from machine
$8.99 in ECBs

Total =$15.90
Got back $4 ECBS + $10 gas card

There was a mistake at the register with the Garnier not showing up for the gas deal, so in the end the cashier just gave me the $10 gas card to save the hassle. Sweet! It pays to be patient and polite. I had only spent $24.50 toward the gas card deal, but she gave it to me anyway.

Then on Sunday I was at the grocery store right beside CVS so I wanted to pop in to score the freebie coupons!

I got a $2 off $10 coffee, and since I was about to buy coffee at the grocery store anyway, I picked it up at CVS. It's a brand that never has coupons, so I figured it was a good way to get a discount on something that's never on sale!

Sunday August 14 trip
Carefree pantiliners $1.69
CVS bandages $3.99
Caramello bar $1.19
3 x coffee $4.29 each

Total =$19.74

Used:
FREE pantiliners $1.89
FREE bandages $4.29
FREE caramello bar $1.19
$2 off $10 coffee
$4 ECBs

oop=$6.37

Not bad!
