CVS Shopping Sabbatical ~ Planning a Four Week Break

I am planning on taking these next four weeks off from CVS shopping--PLANNING is the key word here. I think I need a break in my weekly routine to get some rest and relaxation on a more daily basis after this last year of craziness for our family.  So one of the things I am going to do is park my shopping cart and cut out my weekly, Monday CVS shopping trip thru the last Monday in August.

My stockpile is full enough that it should not suffer from a four week break.  The question is will I?  Can I take four weeks away from CVSing when I am going to be
bringing you all the deals and seeing your fun shopping trips? I sure am going to try, but I may find it more relaxing to get the deals than miss them.  What do you think? Could you take a break, or have you?  Do you think I can?

As Sarah has time, she will be bringing her weekly trips for you to see as I won't have one to share.  So, Happy CVSing to you all, and keep sharing your great trips here as I love to see what you get.

PLEASE NOTE:  Simply CVS will continue to run as normal--just without my CVS weekly shopping posts.

As they say, "Take a little time to enjoy the view." Kick back and watch. :)

I need to cut back on my CVS trips with two in school now, but I don't think I could give it up completely for a whole month! Good Luck!!

I have not done any CVS deals in the past 3 weeks. I still make my Sunday trip there for newspapers but I havent done any other shopping at CVS. It has been tough seeing the deals and I am going to have to get back soon, my stock pile is getting low. (=

With as bad as this week and next weeks ads look, and the new policy on bogo, it sure is getting easier to skip a week! I struggled to find enough deals to spend my 5 off 30 and 5 off 25 coupons in the last week.

I've just started shopping CVS about 3 weeks ago and I find myself anticipating the upcoming ad to see what I can get and how much I can save. It can get addicting. Since you have a stockpile, then I say 'go for it'. Good luck.

At this moment in time, I don't think I could go a whole month, but strangely enough. I typically go in on Fri and Saturday night and this past week I totally skipped it. Haven't been in since last Wends. when the store manger made a comment to me as I was walking thru, "You're shopping again?" That comment really irritated me. I know I should not take it personal, but it just rubbed me the wrong way. I miss going and searching for some good deals, but till the kids are back in school. I don't think I'll focus on it.

I don't blame you for wanting to take a break, but sometimes watching other people get bargains is hard to do!

I would not be able to give it up for 4wks. I am new to this and my stockpile is small. If my stockpile were large I think I could go a few weeks if the deals weren't too tempting.

it's funny just how hard it is to stay away once you get started. i planed on NOTHING this week and somehow ended up back there buying the lipton iced tea and two protein bars with the buy one get one 50% off sale and a coupon. i think i'm seriously addicted. perhaps there should be a support group for folks like me :) enjoy your weeks off, you deserve a break!

The employees would probably wonder if I died.

I hope you enjoy your "time off"!!

So does this mean that there will be no ad scan for 4 weeks

No, it does not. That is why I put this in the post:

Can I take four weeks away from CVSing when I am going to be
bringing you all the deals and seeing your fun shopping trips?

It is only my shopping I am leaving off.
