CVS August Extra Buck Deals ~ Will Update As More Are Found

Here is a list of the August monthly CVS extra bucks deals that have been found to date, as more are discovered (thru signs in the store) I'll add them.  These are no longer advertised except thru signs on the shelves.  They usually work fine nationwide, but if there is not a sign up the staff will not know that you should receive an extra buck for the item.  If there is a sign and it
does not print you can show them information from there and they will print the extra buck.

The Dove shampoo/conditioner monthly deal makes for a great overlap this week with the Gas Card deal. Shampoo/conditioner/styling products are all 2/$6 so I used 3 B1G1 coupons for the Dove and got Sundown Naturals at B1G1 with a $3/2. The total after coupons was ~17 and change, and got back 5 ECB and $10 gas card. GREAT deal.

Nice combination, Anon!!

Cheryl,

Thanks for all that you do. This was a surprise to me when I visited CVS yesterday. The Honest Tea/Ade (love it!) was $5/5 get 1 ecb. Plus, my local Walgreens had $.50/2 peelies valid for use anywhere.

Nice find, Dee, and bonus with those coupons! Do you know the dates of the deal?

I did this same deal last month, do you know if it will let me do it again for August? My receipt still shows limit reached on $3 ECBs for the Mennen deal (I think that's Softsoap, right?) thanks : )

The Honest Tea/Aid is another long stretch. (I forget the dates. 4 weeks maybe?) Like the last time they did the sale it includes Power Aid, Fuze, Smart Water & Vitamin Water. I'm kind of hoping it does the rest once a week.

Cheryl said...

Paula, that is confusing if it is still on your receipt. Yet I am not real familiar with the deal--since this doesn't include Mennen I am thinking it is different. sorry I am not sure--maybe another reader will answer.

Thanks, Taika. Question if you see this--do you have any insight into Paula's question above?

I will be at CVS tomorrow, I'll check dates for the Honest tea/fuze etc. Just a comment regarding Paula..the soft soap pricing is different 3/$9 in Aug vs 3/$6 in July. New month, new price structure may mean new set of ECB.

Thanks, Dee.

Thanks for all the info on your great blog! Today at my CVS I found a special Gillette ProFusion Razor kit--besides the razor and 2 cartridges, it has 3 other items (thermal face wash, fusion gel, and a lotion). It was the same price as the razor and I also got the $5 in ECBs.

Ahh, that's right. I guess the $3 ECBs on the deal made me think it was the same deal. thanks all. : )

Nice, Marianne, I won't be deal shopping until later in the week--I will look for these.

The sign for ecb was only on the Honest Tea. I checked the vitamin water and fuze, no signs on those at my CVS . The $5/5 with 1 ecb for Honest Tea/Ade says 7/31 - 8/6.

so i tried the dove deal and they didn't have signs and yes they did not know what i was talking about! is there some way of printed proof out the manager said he would honor if i could show him proof PLEASE help i need those eb i can't return my items i paid with some eb and coupons!!!!!!! thank you

Cheryl said...

No, Angie, CVS only puts it on the signs now and that is why I warn that if it is not signed they will not know. You may be able to call 800shopcvs and ask about it or look on your account at CVS.com and see if it is listed. On returning things where extra bucks are used--they do take them back and give you a store card (sort of like a gift card) and that way it is like spending the extra bucks again.

Does the extra bucks that are in the weekly ads go through out the month or just for that week?

Cheryl said...

Anon, most of those weekly--but they usually throw in these monthly deals in some ad during the month, but it doesn't show if it is a monthly or weekly deal--it can be confusing.

My last few receipts have had a line on the bottom (BEFORE the Beauty Club and before the "This Week's Extra Bucks Offers" section) that says "PAMPERS FREE EXTRAS Buy 6, Get Jumbo Pack Free" and then it says 1.00. This is presumably because I bought Pampers this week. Does anyone know if this is a monthly deal, or how long it will last?

Thanks,
a.

Cheryl said...

Aliza, I do not know the length of this, other readers may and respond. But in the meantime, you could check your online account at CVS.com and it should show you have one of 6 purchased and the dates it will run or you can call 800shopcvs and ask if you would like.

I just called cust service about this myself and they said that it is a promo through the end of the year. Buy 6 jumbo pampers and a coupon will print out for a free jumbo pack for your next purchase. I'm not sure if you can do the deal more than once though-forgot to ask that.

Thanks, D.

Where do you see your "free extras" balances online? My reciept from last week's trip showed 4 Pampers toward the Pampers Free Extras reward, 3 toward Huggies Free Extras, and 2 towards 5 gallons of milk...but tonight my Pampers is showing 0 towards my Pampers Free Extras, 3 towards Huggies still, and the milk verbiage is gone?? Any ideas? I am planning to call CS tomorrow. Just curious someone else might know.

Cheryl said...

Kelli, I rarely visit the online account but I thought they were under a tab that says "current balances?" I don't have any running totals currently so I can't check. maybe someone else will know, but calling is your best bet. Do you have an older receipt with the correct totals? You may want to have that in hand, too, for them to check.
