Combining Scanner coupons with $/$$ @ CVS to Reach Total Needed

Sometimes when one has a $/$$, say a $5 off $25, you may have things you need to buy, or are on sale that add up to close to the needed amount, but not quite. One can just throw in a filler that goes as little over the needed amount as possible, but that can really cut into your savings from the $/$$. One thing I’ve found that really helps is to always check the coupons you’ve got the last few weeks from the CVS coupon scanner. For instance, this week there was a coupon for $1 off any Speed Stick, and another for $1 off any L.A. Looks. I checked out my store’s travel size area and found this Speed Stick and also found the small L.A.Looks by the normal L.A.Looks hair care. They added almost a $3 value to my total, but cost less than $1 after the coupons. So, happy combining of coupons! lSarahl

Great tip! Thanks Sarah. I'm really working on learning as much as I can about shopping at CVS from you and your mom.

Funny, but I would never have thought to check out the travel size for those things, even though I've used coupons for items like that in Walmart. :-)
