Share Your CVS Shopping Trip for the Weekly Ad of 7/24/2011

Did you find any good deals  from the CVS Weekly Ad of 7/24 to purchase?  If you blog about your shopping trip I'd love for you to put a link to your post (a link back would be appreciated, but not necessary); and if you don't blog please leave a comment below.  I really enjoy seeing what others get and it is a great way to learn how to CVS.  I learned from reading and reading and reading what
others did. I am still learning!

PLEASE NOTE:  ONLY link up to your CVS shopping post directly, all others will be removed.  I have had readers mention too many links are not to CVS shopping posts. I have not had the time over the last several weeks to check the links as I was in the beginning.  I hope to start again this week.

If you have a linky on your blog and are linking up here, add "link up" to your title below so readers can link up at your blog, too.

If you'd like to see some saavy shopping at other stores, or if you'd like to link up your CVS deals trips to other places here are a few to check out.  If you are a blogger and have a weekly savings linky and would like it added, leave a link to it in a comment below and I will add it.

I got BenGay for less than $1 using the $5 off coupon. I got some vitamons for 6.99 using a $2 off coupon. I bought a pack of pens for $1.99 and used the 2 ECB to get free Crest toothpaste plus 2 ECB. I bought an 8 pk of schick razors and 3 shave creams and paid about $11.50 and walked out with 12 ECB. I am new to this so all in all it was a pretty good trip I think. My CVS has been out of the smaller Schick packs for 2 weeks. I asked and cashier said it is because they have been running the sale for over a month. Oh well, but you would think if Schick is in the ad, they would have some in stock!

Great trip, Leona. And you have lots of ECBs to keep rolling into new deals.

Great shopping trip for me, (1) paper mate pens, (3) soft-soap hand wash, (2) crest toothpaste, (1) renu contact solution, (1) bengay, (1) kotex, (10) shaving cream. In addition to the $10/$50 coupon, I received a print for $5/$20 purchase on face and skin care products, they allowed me to use it on the skintimate shaving cream deal. In addition to all my mq I used $16 in ECB and payed $1.64 before taxes. Received back $27.99 in ECB. Instead of putting donation items up and then having to go back and get them when I get a box together, I started doing as you do Cheryl and leave a donation box out and drop the items in there. So much easier.

Cheryl said...

Great shopping trip, Denise! It is nice to have the donation boxes. I got some free after max perks file boxes from Office Max a couple of years ago and they are such a nice size and stack easily and look nice (well, nicer than odd size brown) so that is what I am using currently.

I had a great shopping trip, I went right when my store opened and was the only one there. I got:

5 Skintimate Shave Creams
1 Skintimate Shave gel
1 hydro 3 razor
3 Softsoap Foaming hand soaps
1 tube of Ben Gay
2 pcks of G2 Pilot pens
2 sets of Aussie shampoo and condioner

I had coupons for everything except the pens which were BOGO free and I redeemed $21 in ECB So I spent 38.03 and earned $25 more in ECB. Pretty good for a newbie I think :)

Transaction 2

Used $2 MFR printable, $13 ECB

OOP tax only 0.70c, GB $5ECB

Transaction 3

Sunday trip:
-Renu contact solution, 11c MM after printable $2 coupon + ecb (I love that I can get name-brand items now for free, store brand never came close to being this cheap-I love couponing!)
Then used $6 Renu ecb for:
-Papermate pens free after ecb
-U by Kotex liners 49c after ecb + printable coupon-I love the colorful wrappers on these!
-Oral B stain floss, 1c MM after PG coupon + ecb
-CVS brand crown + filling cement (BF needed this, so I gave him some ecb's to buy it--he was thrilled!)
This CVS didn't have the Skintimate Cream shave, so...
Monday trip to a different CVS:
-Skintimate cream shave, 69c after printable $1.50 coupon
-2 Softsoap pampered hands, $1 coupon became available again today!
-Lady Speedstick-got a $1.50 scanner coupon two weeks ago that I held on to (I've learned to NEVER toss those... a sale is just around the corner!) This and the softsoaps went towards the buy 3 get $3 ecb deal, so I got each for 10cents! :)
-NYC 99c eyeliner-scanner gave me a $1 off NYC eye cosmetics coupon today, so this was awesome

**Unrelated-I just got a mini keychain calculator at Staples (99c) to calculate deals/change shopping plan at the store if certain things aren't available :)

So my cvs stockpile is pretty good and I didn't have a big need for anything except was maybe running a little low on body wash and floss but I didn't want to pass up the good deals this week. Plus my nieces love the stick on nails so had to take advantage of that deal so very happy with my trip.

Transaction #1
2 softsoap hand wash=$4 (my bf uses these)
-(2) .35 man q
1 softsoap body wash=$3
- (1) $1 man q
1 oral b floss=$2.99
-(1) $.75 man q
2 schick disposable razors=$18.98 (for bf)
- B1G1 this subtracted $13.99. I didn't see until I got home and I am not sure why it subtracted so much.
- (1) $2 CVS coupon
1 skintimate gel=$2.19
-(1) $.55 man q (they were out of the cream which I had a $1 coupon for that but c'est la vie)

-$5/$25 cvs coupon (so jealous of Sarah getting 3 of these-they make such a difference)
-$5 ECB

Paid $2.17 + tax
earned $10, $3, $2

Transaction #2
2 Kiss stick on nails=$13.98

I did pretty well. I started with 0 ECB's. Bought $104.88 in merchandise, have $11 ECB's now to roll forward, and only spent $2.51 out of pocket! :-)

I came home and mailed in my $2 rebate for Finesse so when it comes, it'll knock that down to .51 cents oop.

Just click on my name if you want to see the details of what I bought and how I paid for it.

Sounds great, Pat!
