CVS Email Alert: $5/25 Coupon Good Through 7/31

I received an email from CVS with a coupon for $5 off $25 good through Sunday the 31st of July. Remember, these always have some exemptions, so read the fine print closely. So check your inboxes and junk folders. Be sure to check out how to sign up for CVS e-mails if have not done so yet (although signing up does not guarantee you will get them). lSarahl

I received an email today with a 25% off your entire purchase cvs coupon. In the fine print it says excludes sale items. Just to clairify, I cannot use this for items in next weeks ad?

Here's my standard answer on these:

My thoughts on the % off CVS coupons is that for the couponing CVSer they are near useless. Sometimes on extra buck deals that do not have a sale price they will give a discount, other times not. In theory they are not supposed to.

I think they could be handy to make your “own sale” on an item you need that never goes on sale—especially if you have some extra extra bucks you can use or if you have some that will expire soon. Or another idea is if you have high value or free coupons on a non-sale product use it on those products.

I just advise people to do their regular shopping if there is nothing else they want to use it on and hand it over anyways, not expecting anything, but sometimes there is a discount from it.

Anon, you are not alone. I never get them and many readers don't either. Wish we could do something to generate them.

Eli, last time I remember some people got coupons with a later exp. date than Sarah. It is so strange how they do that.

This past week I got two coupons from the kiosk $4 off $20. I could hardly believe it. They printed one right after the other. Also I just got in my email a couple days ago $5 off $25. Maybe because I'm in there every few days!!! lol Keep trying, keep shopping I'm sure you will get them too. :)

I finally got one. AND it expires on SUNDAY! =). My mom got one as well. Surprisingly they are NOT identical, mine printed with my first name, my moms printed as a generic one.

Also I got a nice surprise when I logged into cvs.com. I had an extra $5 ECB for Beauty Club Reward.
Which is odd... I JUST signed up a couple of weeks ago so I think they backtracked my transactions. Kinda big brother-ish =/

I have never purchased makeup at CVS. And my OOP totals have been pretty low. What kind of stuff is included in the Beauty Club Spend $50 promo? And I'm guessing it's PRE-coupon prices?

$10 extra for the upcoming week!

Nice surprise, Magda. From their website: Qualifying Beauty purchases include items from the following categories: Cosmetics, Ethnic Hair Care, Fragrances, Hair Accessories, Hair Appliances, Hair Care, Hair Color, Healthy Skin Care, Hosiery, Skin Care and Sun Care. Excludes Beauty 360, gift cards and prescriptions.
