Their system seems to have a few kinks that need to be worked out regarding this new policy.

Today, I tried to purchase 3 MnM's at B2G1Free. I used two 75c off coupons on the original two and had issues.

At one CVS (I have two by my work), the second coupon beeped and the cashier just pushed it through.

At the second, the cashier stuck their nose in the air and refused to accept the second coupon. Since I was so close to my $30 for the gas card, I just shrugged it off and took them anyways. After my purchase, I was still only $1 short of my gas card so I got back in line with one more bag of MnM's and attempted to use my previously rejected coupon (since the cashier argued pretty passionately about the meaning of "per purchase" and insisted that it was per transaction... ) and the computer beeped again on my brand new purchase with zero other products or coupons. A manager came by and pushed it through but the issue itself was still a big hold up.

Basically, it is looking like the system is only allowing one coupon per Buy # items, get # per CVS card, period. I think this may be a bug in the system, however, and may be fixed.

Thanks for this heads up, Anon, and detailed account of your experience.

@Anon, If I remember correctly that M&M coupon was 75 cents off of two candies, so that's probably why it beeped. But you may have recieved a different one that I got. If so I'm jealous, LOL. I love m&ms!

I am new to coupon shopping at CVS but yesterday the cashier told me that I couldn't use two P&G coupons in one pruchase even though they were for different items. I explained to her that one was for crest toothpaste and one was for the oral b floss. She still told me that I couldn't use the two and that was the policy. Is this true?

No, Anon, it is not. Unfortunately CVS does not have a written policy which leaves us and the cashiers confused at times. P&G coupons do say four per transaction (of each kind). There have been some policy changes being sent to the stores and I think they are getting confused. Another reader had the same problem. When something really doesn't seem right or you just want clarification you can call 800shopcvs and ask--they are great (but on somethings even they can be confused). But if you call, get a name, and the next time you want to use two P&G and they say no, and you have been told it is okay, you will have the info to share with them.

With the BOGO on Nature Made vitamins and the $2 CVS coupon that was printing at the machine last week, will the new policy allow for both one CVS and one manufacturer's coupon?

Yes, Pat. It is my understanding that you can use ONE manu and TWO CVS coupons per a B1G1 deal.
