CVS Ad Scan Preview for the Week of 6/19/2011

Click on each picture to see it in larger format.
Here is the CVS ad scan preview for the week of June 19.  I will be putting up coupon match-ups for the extra buck deals, grocery deals, dollar or less deals and household deals before that week.  Meanwhile, you can see if there are any coupons you'd like to print for items on sale at RedPlumSmartSource, Coupon Network or Coupons.  Remember, you can almost always print two of each coupon.

Thanks to Rydergal at SD's for the CVS ad scan.  Simply CVS is part of the grocery gathering at BeCentsAble.

If you'd like to find other coupons for CVS sale items I do not do each week, check out these instructions on where to find them

I don't see a current post regarding clearance items so I will post my find here. My mom loves Loreal's Elnett hairspray--very spendy at $16 a can. I found the extra strong hold 50% off at the two CVS stores I shop.I bought her 13 cans--she is a happy lady to have saved so much. Though I did only have one MQ coupon for $3 off it was still a good find.

Great, JoAnna, I bet she is thrilled. We are a day late on our shopping this week--had to help clear out my sister's apartment yesterday--so we are behind on our clearance post and other ones. It will be up in a little while :-).

I am excited about the Pampers deal. I have a $3 manufacturers coupon I have been saving and the CVS coupon print out this week was $3 off of $15 in baby care (expires 7/11). Assuming Pampers count towards baby care I will by 1 package of Pampers for $20 and 1 Aveeno Baby product for $5.50. $3 manufacturer coupon + $3 CVS print out + $10 ECB makes this $9.50. That's 10 cents per diaper plus a free Aveeno baby product. Does anyone know if pampers count toward baby care?

Wow, Tiffany, sounds great. I can't say for sure but I would think it would count. You can always call 800shopcvs and ask if no one else knows.

I just called CVS Customer Service and they said diapers do count as baby care!

Cheryl-
What a hard day for you. I am 150% patient with "late" posts as you help us save $$$$ each day and have a life outside of Simply CVS, too.

Grrreat, Tifany! They are a great resource and always friendly.

Thank you, JoAnna, that means a lot. I added your find to the clearance post Sarah wrote, by the way.

I have a question. Is the colgate a new EB? They just had this two weeks ago and I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a monthly one since I all ready purchased them. Can you please advise. Thanks for all your help.

JoAnna said...

I saw that you did that, Cheryl. Thanks.

Marella, I don't have that older ad right here, but what you can do is check the older ad and this week's ad and see if the event codes are different--then you know they are. I do not see this listed as a monthly deal on any of the sites nor do I see them mentioning it. Often these will come around for a few times in a row. Also, when I am in doubt about a deal like this I will check out once and look at the bottom of the receipt and see if it says limit reached still--if not it is a new deal.

Yes Cheryl, the clerk voided original transaction and then called a supervisor over to key in correct price and had to print EB separately. (Only after they consulted for a few minutes)

Hi, perhaps you can clarify this -

on page 9, it says $5 ecb on $50 purchase on beauty products. if i purchased the garnier products and earned ecb on those, can that purchase also be applied towards the $50? i wasn't sure if in general cvs would give ecb twice on one items.

thanks again!

Momma, those $5 on $50 is an on going beauty club promotion and yes, it includes all the beauty items, even if you get extra bucks. You will get it for each $50 you spend on beauty and accumulates from week to week. Then 48 hours after you reach the $50 the $5 will print for you. Here is a post about signing up: http://www.simplycvsshopping.com/2011/01/cvs-extra-care-beauty-club-launched-in.html
