$5 & $10 Scenarios for CVS Weekly Ad of 6/5/2011 ~ Lots of Goodies! CORRECTED 6/4 PM

Below are deal scenarios for the CVS ad for the week of 6/5 for shoppers just starting their CVS shopping adventure or who do not have any or many extra bucks on hand and do not want to spend much cash.  There are scenarios for under $5 out of pocket cash and $10 out of pocket cash.

Beginning CVSing and building up extra bucks so one can keep them rolling week after week takes time.  By investing just $5 or $10 a week for the first month to six weeks to get the extra bucks built up would
allow a shopper then to keep rolling that $20 to $50 of extra bucks each week into new extra bucks.  It is like spending the same money over and over again.

Because not every CVSer has multiple coupon inserts Sarah usually only mentions using one.  If the deal is to buy more than one and you have more than one you can use them and save even more; or  some deals you may be able to do another one if the limit is more than one.

This week had so many great deals that Sarah tucked in extra transactions so you could get even more items!

PLEASE NOTE:  There was a typographical error in the original extra buck deals type up we received before the ad came out and we missed it and included it in the scenarios when we posted this originally.  We have since corrected it (6/4 8:00 pm).  We apologize for the error and to anyone who tried it before the corrections were made.

Thanks! I have a question regarding transaction 1. I am new to getting the hang of CVS ECBs. I do have the 4 off 20, and want to do the 1st transaction. When I total the products they come to $19.88 or am I missing something? and is the $20 calculated before sale price and Q's? I hope what I am asking makes sense! Thanks so much for all the info!!

Hi, Jill, I asked Sarah to be sure I got this right.

The total of the sale price (before coupons) is $15.27 on the items if you do not have the $4/$20. If you add the M&M deal at $5 you have $20.27. Give your $4 off $20 and then other coupons.

Does that make sense? I am not sure where you got the $19.88. Ask gain if this does not make sense.

We have out of town company so I am not here much, but will keep looking back.

Thanks!!! That makes perfect sense! I see when I was doing my addition the first time I had subtracted the coupon for the M&Ms and that is how I got under 20.00! Thanks so much for the help! I am hitting CVS tomorrow :)
Enjoy your company!

I think the scenario with the buy one Loreal lipstick is not right....the add says spend $10 get $3 extra bucks....isn't that right? One lipstick would only be $5.

Cheryl said...

Jill, we thought maybe you had taken off a coupon :-).

You are right, Elizabeth. This was done from the type up we received before the ad came out. Sarah is working on a correction.

ok....lol....I was getting excited there for a minute...if that were true, I would have gotten free lipstick with my $2/1 loreal lip product coupon! Thanks for all the hard work you put into all the match ups and scenarios each week! :)

Thanks for understanding, Elizabeth. This can be overwhelming at times...many times :-). I actually don't digest many of the deals until I am ready to make my own list Monday morning because there are sooooo many details in all of it. I feel terrible when we make a mistake.

Hello! Thank you for the posts and scenarios, you make everything really easy! I have a question on the 4 off 20 coupon... Can I use it more than once? Some weeks I can use it up to 3 times in different trans of course,, and other weeks it will beep in the 2nd time:( Not sure what it means! Thnk you in advance!

Cheryl said...

No, it is supposed to be used just once. Why it has let you use it more than once I don't know. But they are supposed to be connected to the card and once you use it it is "marked" as used.

Cheryl said...

Oh, and Anon, so glad you find it all helpful :-).

Hi, I am new to this site. Do ECB's count as coupons like RR at Walgreens? I see on your scenarios that they count as cash. Thanks.

Cheryl said...

Welcome to CVSing, Anon! No, they are not counted as coupons. You can use as many as you like on an order. You can also use them on the same product if you like. There are limits to each extra buck deal though and they are listed in the ad. Also, you can use one manuf. coupon and one CVS coupon per item.

I am having trouble finding the P&G insert 6/5, was it in the newspaper? Can you please help :) thanks!!

Cheryl said...

Yes, Anon, it was. It is a Proctor & Gamble coupon insert in Sunday's Paper.
