CVSing for Donating Week of 4/3 ~ Featuring Operation Christmas Child

Well, more toothpaste and toothbrushes from this week's CVS trip for my Operation Christmas Child (OCC) stockpile.  Since I am hoping to do a lot of boxes this year I will need it.  I plan to do 10 to 14 year olds (especially boys) if possible because they always have the least boxes donated for that age.  So I went with adult toothbrushes.  With coupons and extra bucks I was able to get it all free except for some tax.  I actually needed
a 50 cent filler to use up my extra buck so as not to waste any, so I got a Mentos to add to my OCC stockpile.

If you are interested in filling shoe boxes for an underprivileged child you can learn how to pack a shoe box and find a collection center near you by visiting the OCC website.  If you would like to find great ideas for filling a shoe box or other deals from other stores that would be great for filling a shoe box check out Clip With Purpose.  Jessica keeps us updated on all the hottest deals on items for shoe boxes year round from numerous stores.  You can also keep up with Clip With Purpose on Facebook or Operation Christmas Child on Facebook.

I made shoe boxes for the 1st time last Christmas and I encourage everyone to participate. Read some of the stories on the Operation Christmas Child website to see how much a box of items that we take for granted can mean so much to a child who has so little. And thanks to CVS, I had so many items that I got for free or almost free!

Theresa, thanks for sharing. I love how much CVS helps me get to fill them. The stories are incredible.

This is a great idea, Cheryl. Our church has done these for many years, but thanks to CVS, I'm going to set myself a goal for this year and see how many I can do as well. I love the feeling of helping those less fortunate!
