CVS Shopping for Donations Week of 4/24 ~ Operation Christmas Child Items

Not too big of a week for donation shopping at CVS this week, but I was able to get just a few things for my Operation Christmas Child stockpile.  If I had access to a lot of coupons I would have been able to get more.  The Dove was free with coupons and the Mentos were on clearance for $.46 each so just tax and $.57 (which I paid for with extra bucks--so free really).

I'd love to get more of the gum on
clearance with the $.35/1 coupons.  Mentos is so bright and makes a pretty addition to a shoe box full of toys, hygiene and school items.  I have never added deodorant before, but I am seeing a lot of people do in the 10 to 14 year old boxes (which are most needed since few people do those) so I choose unscented and thought I'd go ahead and add it this year.

If you are interested in filling shoe boxes for an underprivileged child you can learn how to pack a shoe box and find a collection center near you by visiting the OCC website.  If you would like to find great ideas for filling a shoe box or other deals from other stores that would be great for filling a shoe box check out Clip With Purpose.  Jessica keeps us updated on all the hottest deals on items for shoe boxes year round from numerous stores.  You can also keep up with Clip With Purpose on Facebook or Operation Christmas Child on Facebook.

I admire you for doing this! We need more people like you! :) Part of what I'm setting aside with extra items I buy is to go to Haiti with my church's mission teams that go down there 3 times a year! So I completely understand why you are doing this!

Kayde, a couple of years ago my father in law was visiting us and talking about an orphanage his church helps in Haiti and I asked if he thought they could use the little first aid kits. He was all excited--I gave him like 50 I gotten free at CVS. I also had a bunch of the little CVS personal size tissues and gave him those, too.

Sharing is the funnest part of Couponing!!
