Free 8 x 10 Kodak Photo Books At CVS Week of 12/26 w/Coupon

CVS has the Kodak Photo books for buy one get one free the week of 12/26.  There are currently printable coupons for buy 1 get 1 free Kodak 8 x 10 photo books made a the Kodak Kiosk.**  These will probably go quickly, so print them now.  You can usually print two of each coupon per computer.  Remember, it is CVS policy to take a buy one get one coupon on a buy one get one sale, tho some shoppers run into problems.
Editing 12/22:  If you are having trouble finding this sweetweeties @ HCW reported finding it in zip 90210.

**Editing 12/23:  The crossed thru coupons are no longer available. The ones at Kodak.com are still up and I wanted to clarify there is a $5/1 HP Photo Book where the first B1G1 Free Kodak coupon was, but it is not for the book sold at CVS--it is a great deal at other stores if you are interested, but not at CVS.

EDITING 12/29:  There is now a problem with this coupon.  Many shoppers were able to use it early in the week but now they are being told it is not a Kodak Book, tho made on the Kodak kiosk, and that it is a CVS book.  A reader commented that CVS had apparently been allowing the coupon but was told by Kodak it was not going to honor any more that CVS took.  So you may not be able to use it.  I looked on the Kodak site and the book looks exactly the same and CVS is listed as a store that sells them. Very confusing.

Anon, I saw it at 60610. I usually just keep typing in any zip I can think of to find them. I clicked on "photography" on the left and it came it right up.

Katricia, it is very likely it is no longer available. When there are fantastic CVS deals with a great coupon the printables reach their print limit quickly. If you have tried a few different zip codes, clicked photography and still don't see it it must be gone. Sooooo sorry if you have missed it.

Have any of you other readers not found it now?? I printed mine yesterday so it shows my limit reached so I can't check for you.

Great, JR!! How fun to be able to do more for more family members. I think you can just duplicate them--print two of each somehow and make two if that works for you. Sarah was hoping to have time to write up a hints post about making them, but a very busy week for her.

Cheryl! First of all thank you for everything you do, thank you for taking the time to teach us, and thank you for encouraging all of us to stretch our money as far as possible at CVS.

Second, I wanted to give you a little update. As I have said before, my stores around here generally refuse the BOGO on BOGO deals.

Well, today my husband first dropped me off to make a photobook at CVS without the kids.

First I was told by an EXTREMELY rude cashier, that no we cannot take the coupon. We do not accept Internet coupons, and neither do Publix next door.

I was seriously speechless! I used Internet coupons there last week, the week before etc., and I shop at Publix every week....with Internet coupons.

Okay, so I asked for the manager, who said yes we take the coupon, but you can only use one coupon according to the coupon itself...okay no problem...

So, I started making my photobook. I was hoping to figure out how to make two of the same kind, but nope could not figure it out, and neither could the guy (I found out how later on though.)

So the first book started printing, and I started on the next one, which meant that I could personalize it to the recipient in Danish. Just until the photo printer jammmed!!! ARghhh....yes, it took about 30 minutes for them to fix the printer, and I could not work on the machine in the meantime.

Finally, 30 minutes later I was able to continue working on the book, the first book printed. My husband had to come drop of the kids, because he had to go to work (3 hours later!)....
I went to pay for the photobooks, and the again extremely rude cashier refused to take the coupon on a bogo sale....arghh...

Still no kids...

The manager came over, and said yes she can use it, and the cashier put it through with his help....very upset at me.

So, I went outside, got the kids, went to Publix to pick up tomatoes, and then we got back to get the books.

It was past noon, and we had quite a walk home, so we picked up subway and went to the playground next door.

When we were closer to the second playground, we went into the CVS store next to it. The boys behaved very well, I quickly made the books, found out how to make the duplicates, and we walked around inside the store while it was printing...which took more than 30 minutes.

Then came the issue, I had gotten the coupon approved before I started making the books, but again the cashier would not take it on a bogo sale, the "manager", would not take it either, and he got very upset at me for insisting that it was CVS policy to accept it. Another customer came to my defense and said to them that it was CVS policy, and that she had just done it at another store....

I said, do you want to call CVS customer service or should I? They called their manager, who backed them up. I called CVS customer service, which of course was closed:(

I had to leave the books there, and I told them I'd call the customer service number in the morning...arghh!

Seriously, it so bothers me, but I understand why they won't take it, if they have not learned to do so...arghh..

So, yes I have two, two are hostage at CVS, and hopefully I can get a chance to go back and make the two last ones later this week.

BTW even though the sale started today, the first store only had the three of the 8 x 10 books at the store:)

Now, Cheryl...like you I love CVS deals....but this is why I have had to take a break from CVS...the hassle is just unbearable.

Oh, JR, you and CVS just don't mix. :-( . I read of these horror stories now and again on the couponing boards. I truly wish CVS would get a written coupon policy and have it posted at the store. I hope you get your books okay.

If you call customer service and get a "no" call again. Once in a while a CS rep will not have the correct info either. If I know I have read reputable sources stating something about CVS and I call and get a different answer I will call back and hope for a more knowledgeable person (you can usually tell by their confidence in their answer) and have often found a different answer. Be sure and take the reps name (I am sure you probably would, but just a reminder). Let me know how you make out.

I know I always mention my great store, but they too didn't always know the CVS policy, but I would call c.s. and then share it with them, they got to know and trust me so they would be willing to try it and if the cash register allowed it they would be cool with it. I always just told them I read other shoppers doing it and so I called c.s. and asked if it was allowed.

Sorry for your hassle, I hope the books turned out nice.

I wanted to give you an update. I just got off the phone with a customer service rep, who confirmed that the store should have taken the coupon....and that CVS accepts printable coupons...

The district manager is going to call me, and hopefully I will be able to get my photo books soon.

Thanks again for everything you do Cheryl. When they first told me no on the BOGO Sobe coupons I just left, but because of you and the knowledge that you have shared with me, I was so confident that they were wrong that I called CVS.

Thanks, JR, for the update. So glad it sounds like it is working out. I often read of situations like this and the store then turns around and becomes very coupon friendly (at least towards the shopper who called). So glad to have helped you out.

Did anyone have problems using the coupon when you made the books online? I ordered mine via cvs.com and when I got to CVS this morning, they said since I ordered them online that the BOGO sale was not honored. I talked to the manager of the store who told me, first off, you had to "buy" a photobook to even use the BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale (argggh), and that no, the sale was only for in-store purchases. I was able to get them to ring it through since it did not state anywhere on the ad that it was for in-store only, but I left feeling like I cheated them.

Anyone else have a similar problem?

Good question, Erin, many people have been asking this question. Some stores are telling them yes some telling them no. My store said no. The ad is very confusing, not clear at all. And the b1g1 coupons on b1g1 sale issue arises all the time. But CVS corporate has always said you can use one and get two free. Sorry you had an issue. Once again, this can be a thrilling experience or one of agony.
