CVS Deals Scenario for Week of 10/10: Spend $4.91 for $21.45 Worth of Products & Have $2 Extra Bucks Left

Below is a Scenario for shopping at CVS the week of 10/10 if a shopper was starting with no extra bucks and had no access to coupons other than printing them from the internet.  You could purchase $21.45 worth of merchandise with $4.91 out of pocket cash and have $2 in extra bucks left to spend on other sale/extra buck items this week (see all the deals here), use towards a necessity or save for
next week’s CVS ad:  rolling them into more extra buck items so you have more extra bucks to spend without putting out the cash.

Transaction #1:
1 -- CVS Gold Emblem Soda 2 Liter bottle $1, receive $1 extra bucks (this is an unadvertised deal good this week—check for signs)
2 – Quaker Instant Oatmeal 2/$5 receive $2 extra bucks
Print & use two $2/1 Quaker Instant Oatmeal coupons from their Facebook page
1 – Colgate Toothpaste $2.99 receive $2.99 extra bucks
Print & Use a $.75/1 Colgate Total coupon from their site
(Use the $1 CVS scanner coupon if you received one last week—this is not included in the figures, you will pay $1 less if you have this)

TOTAL CASH:  $4.24 + tax
EXTRA BUCKS RECEIVED:  $5.99
MERCHANDISE VALUE:  $8.99 sale priced

Transaction #2:
1 – Colgate Toothpaste $2.99 receive $2.99 extra bucks
Print & Use a $.75/1 Colgate Total coupon from their site (you need a second computer & email address) or use the $.75/1 Colgate insert coupon from SS 10/3
1 -- Dawn $.97
(use $.25/1 Dawn P&G 9/26 if you have it to save another $.25 oop)

Use the $2 extra bucks earned from the Quaker Instant Oatmeal above and the $1 extra buck earned from the Soda

TOTAL CASH:  $.25 + tax
EXTRA BUCKS RECEIVED:  $2.99
MERCHANDISE VALUE:  $3.96 sale priced

Possibly Transaction #3:
2 – Cheerios General Mills Cereal 2/$6 receive $2 extra bucks
Print two $.55/1 Cheerios and use (Editing:  it looks like these may now be gone--at least in my zip--but there are $.65/1 Cinnamon Toast Crunch printables and $.55/1 Cinnamon Toast Crunch printables you could substitute for the Cheerios)
2 – Cans either Campbell’s Chunky or Select Harvest Soups $1.25/each
Print either coupon and use:  $1/2 Campbell's Chunky or Healthy Request including microwaveable bowls printable or $1/2 Campbell's Select Harvest Printable
Use the two $2.99 extra bucks you have left.

TOTAL CASH:  $.42 + tax
EXTRA BUCKS RECEIVED:  $2.00
MERCHANDISE VALUE:  $8.50 sale priced

If you did all three transactions you would have the following:

SPENT TOTAL CASH:  $4.91 + tax
EXTRA BUCKS IN HAND:  $2.00
MERCHANDISE VALUE:  $21.45 sale priced

You could choose to do more transactions and end up with even less out of cash, but I tried to keep it under $5 and with few transactions.  Also, be sure and scan your card at the scanner to see if you get any coupons to help. There are $.99/any Brach candy corn coupons printing which you could use in any of these transactions and get a bag on sale this week for $.99 free.

For instructions on how to figure out rolling extra bucks to have the least out of pocket cost see this post.

You can share your shopping trip with other Simply CVS readers each week here.

Scan your CVS card at the coupon center on entry. You may get a coupon for 99 cents off Candy Corn which makes it FREE.

Also printing is $1 off TWO snack size M & M's. The packages have 50 cents coupons on them and are on sale 2/$5. End cost 2/&3.
