CVS ExtraCare Advantage for Diabetes Sign Up Apparently Generates $2 ECB

CVS has a special free program called "CVS ExtraCare Advantage for Diabetes" that apparently anyone can sign up for and it appears as if you will receive an extra buck worth up to $2 at the scanner.  I am not sure how long it takes before they print, but I got one last week and read of many others getting them. It was sort of odd looking--it didn't say "$2"  but "$" good for up to $2.

There are pamphlets in the store by the ads and in the pharmacy and some stores have them displayed in other otc medicine aisles.  Just pick one up and have it scanned the next time you check out or sign up online at  By signing up you receive an extra 2% on diabetes health items as well as other benefits.  From the website:

  • Double Bucks on 100+ products you need**
  • Special ExtraCare rewards and offers
  • ExtraCare Advantage for Diabetes e-newsletter
  • Membership is free.

you have to have the checkout person scan the barcode that comes in the package on information on this. So you will need to purchase something, scan your CVS card and have them scan the bar code in the package. Then the $2 printed out for me at the red machine in the store.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I had signed up online a while ago so wasn't sure how soon the ecb would print.
