SavingStar is a great way to increase your savings at CVS.  They offer paperless coupons that attach directly to your CVS Extra Care Card and other store loyalty cards.  You sign up and enter your card numbers.  Each month they issue new coupons and all you have to do is click on the "I want this" button next to the product description to add it to your cards.  They also periodically add new coupons throughout the month so it is good to check back each week or so.  Many of these coupons coincide with CVS deals.  The money is not taken off of your purchase at the store, but is added to your SavingStar account for you to cash in for when you reach a $5 total.  You can also use a regular manufacturer coupon on the same product.

Earning Free CVS Gift Cards at MyPoints

I often post about earning CVS gift cards thru online activities at Swagbucks because that is where I earn the most, but I also enjoy using the MyPoints earning site to earn free CVS gift cards.  There are several different ways to earn including:

• Reading emails and visiting sponsors' websites.
• Doing your online shopping thru MyPoints links.
• Watching videos.

• Printing and redeeming coupons.

CVS Shopping Trips for the Weekly Ad of 2/26: Added Another Rebate to Balance ~ Share Yours {Linky}

As most of you know I am not shopping for a couple of months while we prepare for our upcoming move. But once again my $50 CVS gift card challenge balance increased because I received another rebate I had sent in a while ago from products purchased with the money in this challenge.  I received a $10 check and after deducting the $.44 for the stamp I have been able to add $9.56 to my challenge balance for a total CVS spending power of $ 85.77.  I'm hoping for some great deals to start back CVSing in mid-April.

CVS Ad Scan Preview for the Week of 3/4/2012 ~ Two Different Ads Across the Country

Here is the CVS ad scan preview for the week of March 4, 2012.  I will be putting up coupon match-ups for the deals before that week.  Meanwhile, you can see if there are any coupons you'd like to print for items on sale at RedPlum, SmartSource, Coupon Network or Coupons.  Remember, you can almost always print two of each coupon.

There are two ads this week and you can see them both below.  The first one pictured is a "test ad", and yes, it is ONLY two pages and there is only ONE extra buck deal. It is being reported for the following states:  AL, GA, MS, NM, NY, PA, CT, and MA.  And apparently the rest of us will get the regular ad.  A few years back they did test markets--different ones for like a six week period over the summer months.  So this type of ad may become available in the future in different states.

I have never entered any of the Swagstakes at Swagbucks tho I use them all the time to earn free CVS gift cards.  Today I see they are offering lots of different gift cards including a $10 CVS gift card.  The CVS gift card has 80 entries with 77 of those left.  It takes 25 Swag Bucks to enter--the regular price to cash in for one is 1249 Swag Bucks.  When they reach the 80 entries they will draw a winner.

 EDITING TO ADD:  I am seeing in the rules that the dates to enter are:  February 25, 2012 and ends at 11:59 p.m. on August 23, 2012 and that one winner will be drawn for each 80 entries--but another place I saw that they are drawn when 80 are reached, so I am not really sure when the prize would be awarded.  Anyone have experience with Swagstakes with more info?
EDITING AGAIN:  I see they have drawn a winner and now they have another one up for 80 entries.  So they must draw as soon as the 80 is reached and then start another one.
